Why Sonnus® uses only 0.9 mg of melatonin
Most sleep supplements dose melatonin at 5 mg to 12 mg. Sonnus® uses 0.9 mg. The reasoning stated on the product page is that melatonin is a signal, not a sedative: a smaller signal is enough to mark bedtime, and it is the large doses that are most associated with next-morning grogginess.
